We will be holding open days on Tuesday 27th March and Thursday 12th April at 9h30 and at 13h on each day. Reserve your place today and come along with your child and discover KidooLand for yourselves!
HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS – BOOK NOW FOR APRIL AND THE SULMMER!
I know that the last holidays have only just finished but do think ahead to the next holidays in April, as well as the summer holidays.
We have put together some great offers for you to save some money.
The AdoLand planning is ready one month early too. Architecture , photography and journalism are on the agenda as well as our new K'ELITE programe Leaders in training for teenagers.
We had a lot of disappointed parents who contacted us too late for the winter holidays so get in contact now! For info the Tulip week 2 in the summer is already 1/3 full.
I highly recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Do to popular demand we are bringing back the possibilty of hosting birthday parties at KidooLand.
BOOST YOUR ENGLISH
Hold a REGULAR « ENGLISH » DATE NIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY?
We’ve all heard about the importance of “date nights” for couples, but how about organising a regular “English Date Night” for your family? You could watch a DVD or cartoon in English, read some fun books in English or play a board game together.
These free news articles from One Stop English in partnership with The Guardian newspaper have some great ideas for topics: http://www.onestopenglish.com/skills/news-lessons/monthly-topical-news-lessons/
ZOOM ON… JAPAN
Japan is renowned for the value it places on respect within its culture and this value is reinforced within the school system, where children are responsible for cleaning their classrooms and the school premises. This promotes not only respect for one's environment but it also teaches children to look after themselves and their belongings from a very early age.
At KidooLand, children are also taught to clean up after themselves after mealtimes/goûter and after messy activities as well as to put away toys as part of normal everyday tasks.
There are loads of great “tidy up songs” out there if your child needs a little extra encouragement. Here’s a simple but catchy one we like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFE0mMWbA-Y
KIDOOLAND RECOMMENDS TO PARENTS…
There is a free parent’s conference (in French), hosted by psychologist Sandrine ORSATTI and Coraline CARBONELL from the Mutualité Française PACA around the theme of boosting children’s confidence in themselves.
Ferme Bermond, Garbejaire, Tuesday 20th March, 19h-21h
KIDOOLAND RECOMMENDS FOR LITTLIES…
For younger children aged 2 to 6 years, the British Council is featuring a new app on its website called “Learning Time with Timmy”. This is the 3rd in a series of apps and all are great at helping children learn and gain confidence without even realising it, as they’re busy just playing a fun, interactive game!
LOCAL FUN: THINGS TO DO ON THE COTE D’AZUR
La Foire de Nice Saturday 17th – Monday 26th March 2018, 10h -19h.
The 74th edition of the Nice Faire is being held at the Palais des Expositions in Nice this month and will offer hundreds of ideas and solutions for your home and garden.
Whilst you’re in Nice, La Promenade du Paillon is close by and has 5 different play areas with amazing wooden structures, including a pirate ship and a huge whale, for children aged 3 to 12 years.
That’s it for this month’s newsletter.
If you have any feedback on what you’ve read, please don’t be afraid to join in the discussions in our Facebook community we would love to hear from you!
All the best,
Antonia Beauvoisin Brown
